Getting here...

Croft Eight can be found in the hamlet of Borrisdale , at the most southerly point of the island. This is an undiscovered corner of Harris.

...by road

We are less than a 10 minute drive from the Leverburgh ferry terminal, a 40 minute drive from Tarbert and 90 minutes from Stornoway.

To reach us from Leverburgh, turn southwest out of Leverburgh along Ferry Road (signs for Strond and Borghasdal), then south along Strond Road, following the coast. Just under 10 minutes outside Leverburgh the road will fork to the left and up a small hill. Take the fork and the house is on the left. If you reach Loch Rodel you’ve gone too far!

There is a 24 hour fuel pump in Leverburgh.

There is also a nearby bus stop which is the end of the line for the  W15 bus from Leverburgh.

Car Rental

There are car rental businesses in both Tarbert and Stornoway.

...by ferry

To get to Harris by ferry, you can either come to Leverburgh from North Uist or to Tarbert from Skye. There is also a ferry route to Stornoway from Ullapool. All routes are run by Calmac Ferries. Make sure to book well in advanced if you’re bringing a car as spaces fill up quickly.
