Welcome to your home on the Isle of Harris...

comfortable, quiet, relaxed
Arrive in the quiet hamlet of Borrisdale and on the final fork of the road, just before it ends, you’ll arrive at Croft Eight.
Set in an elevated, south facing position, you will find a peaceful way of life in our newly renovated croft house.
Here, on Harris’s undiscovered south coast, relax and enjoy sea views towards Uist and Skye, with fishing boats pottering back and forth amongst the myriad of tiny islands of the Sound of Harris.
right to the end of the road
Croft Eight is a ‘top-to-toe’ newly renovated traditional croft house, ideal for four, with everything you’ll need, from comfortable beds with crisp linen, to piping hot water on demand, a separate dining room with French windows onto the patio, a sundowner ‘gin porch’, a comfortable living room with sea view and an enclosed garden. For practical moments, there’s a utility shed with washer-dryer and chest freezer and even a ‘Dog Washing Station’ for those with a furry friend!
a DAY at Croft Eight
Enjoy an early coffee on the patio, watching the sun rise over Skye, followed by a breakfast of eggs from across the road and freshly baked ‘machair’ buns from Temple. Take the day at your own pace or take a look at our suggestions of some of our favourites, all of which are on your doorstep….
